M.D./Ph.D. Students Go To Extreme Escape

17 Mar 2017

The M.D./Ph.D. programs rented out the entire space at “Extreme Escape” for two hours. During the first hour, the 22 students that attended split between four different themed escape rooms: Master of Illusions, Mutiny, Undead, and Trapped Below. The second hour, they had pizza and spent time together as a program.

“The escape room provided the MD/PhD Program students with an opportunity to come together as teammates and solve a puzzle. These students work so meticulously and intensely on a daily basis, so I think it was decompressing in a way. Community building is so important in a program of this length (7-9 years); the escape room provided the students with a great opportunity to reconnect as a whole unit,” said Jennifer Schmerber, program coordinator for the M.D./Ph.D. program.
