UT Health’s Fiesta medal celebrates our missions

19 Apr 2018

Fiesta is fast approaching and UT Health San Antonio is proud to join in a most treasured San Antonio tradition.

Our very own Fiesta medal will go on sale April 9. The medal focuses on our missions of education, research, patient care and community engagement-and includes scholarly books, a stethoscope, the universal symbol of medicine and research that is the white coat, and the microscope, the gateway to new discoveries.

The medal was designed by Sue Bolden, senior graphic and web designer in Creative Media Services.

As San Antonio celebrates its Tricentennial, 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of our Long School of Medicine, the largest of our six schools. We are proud of our commitment to make lives better and proud to share in the heritage and customs of a great city.

The Fiesta medal is $10, cash or check only. It is available at the following locations from April 9-20. It can also be purchased at the Fiesta Store on Broadway.
