Congratulations to one of our Ph.D. graduates, Dr. Yanan Chen who has recently (Chen, Y and Popko, B. 2018. Cholesterol crystals impede nerve repair). The commentary is on an article that was published in the same issue of Science (Cantui-Castevetri et al.)

Yanan, who graduated from the CSB program in Spring 2015, is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago with Dr. Brian Popko, Jack Miller Professor and Associate Chair for Research, Department of Neurology who also serves as Director, The University of Chicago Center for Peripheral Neuropathy.

Congratulations also to Yanan’s mentor, Dr. Jim Lechleiter!
