UT scientists and researchers are officially among the most innovative on the planet. They earned 187 USPTO patents last year, placing UT System No. 5 on the list of Top 100 universities worldwide granted U.S. patents. The list is issued annually by National Academy of Inventors and Intellectual Property Owners Association.
