A protein found in bone could play a role in osteoporosis, San Antonio researcher says

Dr. Xiaodu Wang, a professor of mechanical and biomedical engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio, is studying a possible cause of osteoporosis fractures at the molecular level, work that is being conducted under a $2.3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Wang is a faculty member in the joint UT Health San Antonio/UTSA Biomedical Engineering program.
