Dr. Rafael Veraza was featured in TechBriefs for his work on a self-contained system called ULiSSES™.

Dr. Veraza, an alumnus of the Translational Science Ph.D. Program is now a senior scientist at Vascular Perfusion Solutions, Inc. He works with Tom DeBrooke, CEO & President of Vascular Perfusion Solutions, Inc. and Leonid Bunegin, Chief Scientific Officer, Vascular Perfusion Solutions, Inc.

The team were winners of Tech Briefs Media Group’s ‘Create the Future’ Design Contest this year. Their invention extends the life of organs to 24 hours, circulating oxygen instead of calling for the ice.
