GSBS alumna Grace Lee, Pharm.D., Ph.D. was recognized as “Honorable Mention” for this year’s Immunization Champion Award from the American Pharmacists Association Foundation.

Dr. Lee graduated in 2016 from the Translational Science Ph.D. Program. She currently works as an assistant professor in the Pharmacotherapy Division at UT Austin and an adjoint assistant professor in the Pharmacotherapy Education & Research Center at UT Health San Antonio.

“This year, the Foundation focused on contributions made by pharmacists involved in COVID-19 vaccine operations. Grace did a truly outstanding job of operating the pop-up pharmacy at the School of Nursing Hurd Clinic, along with amazing team members from the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing led by Dr. Cindy Sikora, Environmental Health and Safety, and Information Technology, from December 2020 to January 2021,” said Dr. Christopher Frei, the director of the Translational Science Ph.D. Program and division head of the Pharmacotherapy Division, UT Austin, College of Pharmacy.

According to the American Pharmacists Association, this year’s Honorable Mention award winner will be presented virtually on Sunday, March 14, 2021, from 5:00–6:00 pm ET.
