Announcement: Mary Bradley Departure From UT Health San Antonio

02 Nov 2021
anthonyc

Mary Bradley, the Director of Career and Professional Development in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Office of Career Development (OCD) left UT Health San Antonio effective November 5, 2021.

Mary arrived here in June of 2019 to a relatively young career office, and through her wealth of experience and steadfast efforts, developed a mature OCD that has become an invaluable resource for our research trainees seeking their paths beyond graduate school. While here, she developed a multitude of workshops and initiatives that both aided trainees in making their career choices as well as making preparations for going on the job market. Mary also became actively involved in career development activities across the UT System.

But her efforts and contributions went well beyond career development as she both conceived and became involved in a multitude of GSBS initiatives, always willing to lend a hand where needed. As one example, she took the reins of our NISD summer high school research program and ensured its successful continuation even with COVID upon us. And during the initial COVID surges, Mary became an important resource for the GSBS that kept the office moving forward.

Please join me in thanking Mary for making such a difference to our trainees, trainers, and UT Health in general.

We will be working to find a new Director of Career and Professional Development in the GSBS OCD as rapidly as possible. In the meanwhile, please direct all OCD-related inquiries to GSBSocd@uthscsa.edu.
