Connective Tissue Looking For Entries

03 Dec 2021

Connective Tissue, UT Health San Antonio’s annual literary and arts journal, is now accepting submissions for the 2022 issue of the journal.

Connective Tissue is a publication of the Center of Medical Humanities and Ethics (CMHE) and is open to submissions from all students, faculty, staff, residents, and alumni from UT Health San Antonio. The journal publishes high-quality works of prose, poetry, 55-word stories, photography, and visual art. Please submit to the Connective Tissue Submission Google Form by Friday January 7, 2022 by 11:59pm CT.

This year’s theme is  “Notes from the Margins.” What are the little things you’ve noticed out of the corner of your eye? What stories live at the fringes and who are we not hearing? What happens when we take a deep look at our periphery—what will we find? Bring us the stories that you have tucked away or have discovered on the brink. Bring us the marvels we have missed because we were not looking. Bring us the strange and unfamiliar. They have a home in Connective Tissue.

All submissions, regardless if it is directly related to the theme, are welcome.

Please reach out to ConnectiveTissueJournal@gmail.com if you have any questions. If you would like a copy of the 2021 edition, please stop by the CMHE office.
