Congratulations
to Cellular and Structural Biology student, Brian Stoveken (4th year, Biology of Aging track) who has
been selected to participate in the 15th Annual St. Jude National Graduate
Student Symposium (NGSS).

It will be held 28-31 March 2016, on the campus of St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis,TN.

The
NGSS is an annual all-expenses-paid symposium to which 40-50 top PhD-level
graduate students from around the country, nominated by their faculty and
selected from a peer group, are invited to apply to participate.

Brian,
nominated by our COGS initially, is one of only 44 student applicants out of
the over 1,800 invited to apply nationwide who were selected by a faculty
review committee.

Brian was also named by Dr. Henrich last spring as the 2015 Presidential
Ambassador Scholar representing the Graduate School of Biomedical
Sciences.

Congratulations also to his mentor, Dr. Jim Lechleiter.
