Janice Smith and Janice Stong Retirement Reception

06 Feb 2017
anthonyc

We would like to thank Janice Stong and Janice Smith, two of our more prized office members, who will be retiring from their illustrious careers in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Together they have over 60 years of unwavering service.

Janice Stong has served as the Program Coordinator overseeing our entire portfolio of graduate programs. Her experience and knowledge has been absolutely crucial for the thousands of students that have passed through the graduate school under her watch. And her hands-on, student-centric guidance of their journey has been her hallmark, and has been cherished by our graduates.

Janice Smith has served as the Assistant to the Dean for all the Graduate School Deans to date, excluding the first. But her role has gone way beyond the implications of that title. So many events, such as the convocations and graduations, have been expertly conceived and chereographed, and have her careful and caring touch. Her experience, demeanor, and sage advice has been a part of everything we do.

Here are the photos from their retirement reception which took place on Friday, February 3. Thank you to all who came and once again, thank you to Janice Stong and Janice Smith.
