Congratulations to one of our alums, Dr. Wilson Fok!

Congratulations to one of the graduates of the CSB PhD Program, Dr. Wilson Fok. Wilson, currently a postdoctoral scholar at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (Luis Batista lab) was named co-recipient of the 2016 Adel A. Yunis Award for Research Excellence given by the Hematology Division, Department of Medicine at WUSTL.

The annual Yunis award “recognizes outstanding postdoctoral fellows, house staff or students conducting basic research in molecular hematology.”

Wilson, who graduated in August 2013 was a student in the Biology of Aging Track in Arlan Richardson’s lab. While in our program, he was the 2009 recipient of the CSB David Carillo Memorial Award for Excellence as a graduate student.

He was also the recipient of a predoctoral fellowship from the institutional NRSA (Biology of Aging T32 training grant) funded by NIA. He was briefly a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center before moving to WUSTL in 2014.
