Two Neuroscience Students Receive Trainee Scholar Awards

Congratulations Danielle Coelho and Allison Garrison!

Congratulations to Neuroscience graduate students Danielle Coelho(left)and Allison Garrison(right) on being selected to receive a Trainee Scholar Award to attend the 2017 PsychoNeuroImmunology Research Society (PNIRS) meeting! The meeting will be held June 7-10th, 2017 in Galveston, Texas. The award is to help defray transportation and lodging expenses.

The title of Danielle’s abstract is: ‘Pathogenic role for the kynurenine pathway in maternal immune activation-induced autism-like behavior in mice’. The title of Allison’s abstract is: ‘3-hydroxyanthranilic acid 3,4-dioxygenase mediates hippocampal dysfunction during chronic inflammation’. Danielle and Allison are members of the O’Connor Research Group.
