Shih-Bo Huang To Give Platform Presentation At AACR Annual Meeting
Congratulations to Shih-Bo Huang, one of our students in the Integrated Biomedical Sciences program, Cancer Biology Discipline, whose first-author abstract was selected for a platform presentation at the upcoming annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), to be held in April 2018 in Chicago, IL!
The title of Shih-Bo’s abstract is “Novel role for SIRT1 in non-canonical activation of AR signaling.”
Shih-Bo also received a prestigious AACR-June L. Biedler Scholar-in-Training Award from the AACR. As noted in the award letter from the AACR, “Scholar-In-Training Awards are highly competitive and are presented to those with high-quality abstracts and applications from a large candidate pool.”
This AACR award is in addition to the travel award that Shih-Bo received from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences to attend the meeting.
Congratulations also to his mentor, Pratap Kumar (Urology)!
