San Antonio Program Boosts Number Of Latino Students Seeking Ph.D.s In Cancer Research

Translational Science Ph.D. student Rosalie Aguilar was featured on Texas Public Radio for her affiliation with the Éxito! Latino Cancer Research Leadership Training program.

Éxito! Latino Cancer Research Leadership Training is a program of the Institute for Health Promotion Research (IHPR) at UT Health San Antonio to offer an annual summer institute and internships to increase the number of Latinos who pursue a doctoral degree and a career researching Latino health disparities. “Being a part of Éxito showed me there was a lot more out there — a lot more opportunities — and that I might be able to bring back some of this into my community,” explained Aguilar in the article below.
