Dr. Calais Prince Selected for an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science & Technology Policy Fellowship
Congratulations to Dr. Calais Prince, a CSB graduate program alumna who was selected for a competitive and prestigious 2019-2020 American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science & Technology Policy Fellowship. Calais will work as a Health Policy Fellow in the U.S. Department of Defense, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Services Policy and Oversight (HSP&O).
Calais, who was a graduate student in the (IMGP Genetics, Genomics & Development Track) in Les Myatt’s lab, published two first author papers (in Placenta and Reproductive Science) from her dissertation research and received her Ph.D. degree in February 2017.
Since May 2017, she has been a postdoctoral fellow at the NIH in the lab of Michele Evans, MD, Deputy Scientific Director and Training Director for the National Institute of Aging’s Intramural Research Program (IRP). Calais has also just had her manuscript from her postdoctoral research on frailty accepted for publication in the journal Aging.
Calais will be starting her placement at the Department of Defense in September and we wish her all the best in the new position.
