“Inspire” Seminar Series
While the prospect of a career in academia attracts several people, many others look at other avenues for their post-graduation careers. However, the reality of the biomedical industry and its job opportunities often remain an unknown for too many graduate students. The “Inspire” Seminar Series is a unique opportunity to explore the reality of the biomedical industry from people directly involved in it. Each talk includes a guest speaker, and it is specifically designed to encourage active discussion between them and the audience. This gives the opportunity for participating students to access relevant insights and personal experiences directly from professionals in the biomedical industry. At the same time, since many of the guests were or still are also involved in academia, the “Inspire” seminar series can help students interested in pursuing an academic career as well. Consulting Club
EnventureSA’s Consulting Club is a is a peer-to-peer mentoring program for aspiring consultants to practice case interview questions in a supportive space. Consulting is a dynamic career option for curious problem solvers, which allows for team-driven solutions to a variety of real-world business problems. Consulting isn’t just restricted to individuals pursing a business degree, but the advanced analytical skills obtained during a PhD, MD, or JD lend themselves well to the demands of the job.
