Enventure San Antonio – Engaging UT Health San Antonio Trainees and the Scientific Community
EnventureSA is an organization committed to the acceleration of San Antonio’s biomedical industry – empowering and connecting tomorrow’s leaders to the local life-science community. Even in this work-from-home era, EnventureSA is working to serve the needs of San Antonio’s biomedical innovation community, providing experiential learning opportunities, networking, as well as the resources and skills necessary to support and grow a healthcare venture.
As a community-driven organization, EnventureSA is organized by volunteers, just like you, many of whom are trainees at UT Health SA. Our whole mission is to get people excited about their next steps in the biomedical field, wherever that may be, and challenge you (yes, you) to take a proactive role in your career development. In the past months, GSBS trainees, as well as those outside the program, have been actively participating in programs and creating the infrastructure to foster professional growth. Programs like our “Inspire Seminars” provide the unique opportunity to explore careers across the biomedical industry and directly connect with these professionals. Some of our more hands-on learning experiences include “Consulting Club”, an open environment for you to build translatable skills and explore the intersection of business and science. With enough luck and your help, we hope to begin some new hands-on experiences this fall; including workshops as well as our ENRICH innovation consultancy program!
Beyond programming, we believe that there is real value in building interprofessional relationships across the field of life science – whether that be in a business, medical, science policy, communication or legal setting. By interacting and engaging with professionals outside your domain you gain new perspectives on the key issues facing the healthcare industry. By bridging the gap between San Antonio’s student-network, as well as the local biotech ecosystem, we can foster an environment of biomedical translation and patient impact. EnventureSA seeks to actively engage Ph.D.’s, M.D.’s, MBA’s and J.D.’s across campus and across San Antonio in order to build a network of innovators. We hope you’ll join us in making that a reality.
In pursuit of this, EnventureSA is excited to announce the launch of our new community platform, connecting you to events, programming, and content that is sure to help you grow! Whether you are a professional student, a young professional, or an experienced entrepreneur, we have a program to fit your interests. Get plugged-in to the best San Antonio has to offer!
P.S. – Join our leadership team! EnventureSA is organized by volunteers like you. Contact us at jeffrey@enventure.org, thu@enventure.org, or justin@enventure.org if you are interested.
