Yuanhang Liu Receives GSBS Travel Award
Congratulations to one of
our students Yuanhang Liu (Genetics, Genomics & Development Track) who has been selected to
receive a GSBS travel award.
The award worth $1,500 is to attend and
participate in the 2015 Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine in Washington, D.C. this month!
The IEEE Conference on
Bioinformatics and Biomedicine is the premier research conference in
bioinformatics and biomedicine.
Yuanhang abstract titled “Model-based and context-specific
background correction and differential methylation testing for MBDCap-seq” was
selected for a platform presentation by the conference organizers.
Yuanhang’s selection for
the travel award by the GSBS Award Committee was based on his “excellent
academic record and standing in the scientific community.”
Congratulations also to
his mentors, Dr. Yidong Chen (Epidemiology & Biostats) and Dr. Donna Lehman.
