CTRC and MD Anderson Cancer Center Join Forces
The Cancer Therapy & Research Center today announced an affiliation with health care giant MD Anderson Cancer Center, a move that could provide cancer patients in San Antonio and South Texas with advanced care, officials from both centers said.
The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio has been exploring a possible relationship with the Houston-based MD Anderson for months.
Health science center officials have said a formal affiliation with MD Anderson will allow them to expand cancer services for patients in the San Antonio region and to recruit more faculty to provide oncology care here.
