Scientists win $6 million grant for breast cancer drug development
Dr. Jean Jiang, lead principal investigator on the project and a professor of biochemistry and structural anatomy at UT Health San Antonio was featured in the San Antonio Express News for her work regarding antibodies. According to the article, UT Health San Antonio received $3.2 million of those funds to conduct preclinical testing of a therapeutic antibody.
“There are some drugs on the market for breast cancer bone metastasis, but more are needed, said Jiang,” who is also the associate director of the Joint Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program of UT Health San Antonio and the University of Texas at San Antonio.A
