Outreach Opportunities Await!

28 Feb 2018

Here is a list of upcoming Science Night outreach opportunities through the Voelcker Bioscience Teaching Academy (VBTA).

All grad students & post docs are encouraged to join! These events are made a success by scientists like you.

What is a Science Night?

Science Nights are short evening sessions where area K-12 schools invite students & parents for a fun filled evening. The students & parents get an opportunity to ask questions and learn about various scientific and medical topics in a hands-on environment.

They’re a great way to interact with the community and truly watch first hand how kids and parent alike get excited about science. They are also quite fun! Just ask anyone who has participated and check out some pictures from past events! facebook.com/pg/VBTAteachers

Activities are pre-planned so there is no experience necessary-just the willingness to dive right in and have fun. To participate, please contact Rose Riggs: RiggsR@uthscsa.edu

Thanks to all who have already signed up to help make these invaluable events possible for our local K-12 teachers, students & parents.
