Congratulations to alum Dr. Chen Chen who has accepted a position as an assistant professor in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Jiangnan University in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China.

Chen, who was in the Cancer Biology discipline in Dr. James Freeman’s lab in Medicine/Hematology-Oncology, graduated with her Ph.D. degree in May 2018. She stayed on in the Freeman’s lab until now as a postdoctoral fellow to finish a couple of manuscripts on data from her dissertation research. She is already first author on a review published in J Hematol Oncol earlier this year and second-author on a paper published in Clinical Cancer Research in 2016, both on the roles of CD44 in pancreatic cancer progression.

She will be starting in her new position in China next week. We wish her all the best in the future!
