Top 5 Things To Do During the Holidays in San Antonio

1) Urban-15’s Holiday Laser Show 

When: Sunday, December 2nd, 4pm

Where: Lila Cockrell Theater (200 E. Market, 78205)

If you haven’t been to a laser show, you’re missing out! URBAN-15’s annual Holiday Laser Show is a collaborative production of laser artist Tim Walsh and composer George Cisneros, who have worked together on projects in cities all around the United States. The colorful 3D animation and stunning aerial beam displays will be holiday themed, and there will also be live saxophone performance by Tim Walsh to enhance your experience.

2) Celebrate San Antonio!

When: December 31, 2018 at 1:00pm-January 1, 2019 at 12:30am

Where: Hemisfair Park, 434 Almo St.

Ring in the New Year at beautiful Downtown San Antonio! There will be live music, carnival games, rides, and delicious food. Celebrate San Antonio is the party to be at for the New Year. What’s even better is that this event is free and open to the public!

3) San Antonio the Saga

When: Every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9:00pm, 9:30pm and 10:00pm

Where: San Fernando Cathedral

“San Antonio The Saga” is a captivating video art projection on the façade of San Fernando Cathedral created by Xavier De Richmont. The projection is made with custom choreographed music in surround sound. The show will narrate the historical discovery, settlement and development of San Antonio. You can see the incredible video projection on Main Plaza every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9:00pm, 9:30pm and 10:00pm. This event is  free and open to the public!

4) Nutcracker at the Tobin Center

When: November 23-25, 30, December 1-2

Where: The Tobin Center

Join Ballet San Antonio and Choreographers Easton and Haley Smith onstage to celebrate the opening of The Nutcracker! With live music performed by the San Antonio Symphony and special guest appearances by local celebrities, they’ll make your Nutcracker experience a spectacular one.

5) Holiday in Bloom at San Antonio Botanical Garden

When: November 25-December 31

Where: San Antonio Botanical Garden

Holiday in Bloom is a perfect getaway to bring family and friends together for a magical experience in nature. There will be a 12 ft giant Christmas tree at the entrance of the garden, wreaths and red bow throughout the garden to enhance your holiday experience!
