UT Health SAfe app

A hub of helpful safety information is now available at your fingertips with the official safety app of UT Health San Antonio called UT Health SAfe.

UT Health San Antonio Police Department developed the app to provide faculty, staff, students and residents important safety alerts and instant access to campus safety resources.

Users can receive campus notifications, report a tip, chat with dispatch, get emergency contact information and find support resources.

The app allows users to call for help and send their location to police in real-time during an emergency. Campus emergency plans can also be accessed when users aren’t connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, users can find timely and important campus updates and safety information from the UT Health San Antonio COVID-19 site on this app.

Additional information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District is also available on the app.

The UT Health SAfe app helps users safely navigate campus with the shuttle bus tracker and a campus map.

In addition, users can access the Safe Walk program, which provides an officer escort on and around campus. Users can also request a virtual walk home, which tells police where you are heading so police can keep an eye on you.

“The UTPD is excited to launch this app, not only as a way to enhance personal safety, but as a campus resource for timely information on police and security services. We encourage everyone to download the free app and check out all the features,” said Michael J. Parks, chief of police at UT Health San Antonio.

The UT Health SAfe app was developed by AppArmor and is available for Apple and Android users. You can download the app for free on your phone by clicking here: Apple and Android. You can also search for “UT Health SAfe” in the App Store or Google Play Store.
